Duncan L. Niederauer is Chief Executive Officer and a Director of NYSE Euronext. Previously, he was the head of U.S. cash equities for NYSE Euronext. Before joining the exchange in April 2007, he was Managing Director and Co-Head of the Equities Division Execution Services for Goldman Sachs where he spent 22 years. During that time, he oversaw Japanese products, the Equities Division E-Commerce efforts and Spear, Leeds & Kellogg where he managed the firm’s global clearing and execution business.

Mr. Niederauer has served on the board of Archipelago Holdings, LLC and Colgate University where he received his B.A. He earned his MBA at Emory University. Currently, he is a member of the G100, The Economic Club of New York, the British-American Business Council International Advisory Committee, the Shanghai International Financial Advisory Committee and the Partnership for New York City.

He has spoken frequently about the role that the NYSE has played and will play in the global economy and, in particular, the steps it has taken and will take to address the current global economic crisis.
