Ken Mehlman, Managing Director and Head of Global Public Affairs for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), gave Network 20/20 an exclusive inside look on the decisions that drive global markets.

Mehlman discussed the crucial role of American participation in global investments and how sound public policy is necessary to relationships with both foreign governments and international businesses.

Prior to joining KKR, Mehlman served as a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Mehlman also served as campaign manager for President George W. Bush’s re-election campaign in 2004, and then as chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2005 to 2007. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
